A: We are centrally located in almost the geographic center of the United States in Webb City, Missouri.
Q: What kind of support do you offer?
A: Forward Data provides customers with technical support through e-mail and via our telephone support line at (417) 673-7693 Monday through Friday 9 am - 4 pm Central Standard Time.
Q: Do you provide any design or programming services?
A: Yes, Forward Data provides Web design, development, database and programming services. Check out our portfolio page for samples.
Q: What if I just want e-mail only without buying a whole Web site hosting package?
A: Forward Data offers an E-mail Only Package for just $9.95 per month that gives you up to 25 e-mail accounts, a Web-based e-mail client (http://mail.yourdomain.com:8000), and a Web-based e-mail administrator. You can have YourName@YourOwnDomain.com today, just give us a call at (417) 673-7693.

Q: How do I create Web pages using Forward Data?
A: Forward Data customers may use Microsoft FrontPage, or any other Web creation software (we personally use Macromedia Dreamweaver) to create Web pages and publish them to the Forward Data Web servers.
Q: Do you support Microsoft FrontPage server extensions?
A: Yes, we support FrontPage 2000 extensions.
Q: Do you offer Web statistics to track my Web site's usage?
A: Yes, Forward Data provides monthly traffic reports with WebTrends Web log analyzer as an add-on option to our hosting packages.
Q: How do I access my WebTrends report?
A: Simply type http://webtrends.james-river.net/YourDomainName in your browser to access your reports, and we recommend bookmarking it afterward to monitor your Web site's growth each month.
Q: Do you support Macromedia ColdFusion?
A: Yes, we support ColdFusion pages (.cfm) in the Silver, Gold, and Platinum Hosting Packages.
Q: How long will it take to set up my account?
A: Not long at all. Forward Data technician's can generally set up your account in a matter of minutes and have your Web site online very fast.
Q: Does Forward Data transfer my existing domain to Forward Data?
A: No. When you open an account with Forward Data, you will need to visit the Web site of your domain's registrar (i.e., www.networksolutions.com, www.registrat.com, etc.) and update your domain registration so that the DNS server portion of the domain registration points to the DNS servers listed below in the next question.

A: Yes, Forward Data supports the use of Microsoft Access databases in the Platinum Hosting Package.

Q: Does Forward Data provide SSL Web Server Certificates?
A: Yes, Forward Data provides customers with an affordable, easy-to-use solution for the acquisition of a s SSL Web Server Certificate for their domain. Forward Data does not provide shared SSL services, i.e., multiple customers using a Forward Data digital certificate. We believe that each business selling products through their Web site should have a unique digital certificate for the domain through which they sell their products.

A: Yes. Forward Data operates Web servers from its own facility in Webb City, Missouri.
E-MAIL SERVICES
Q: How many e-mail accounts does Forward Data offer?
A: It depends on the type of hosting package you would like. The Bronze Hosting Package offers up to 5, the Silver Package offers up to 25, the Gold Package up to 50, and the Platinum Package up 10 100 e-mail addresses. Q: Does Forward Data provide a Web-based e-mail browser?
A: Yes, Forward Data does provide you with access to e-mail through a Web-based interface than gives you the ability to read your e-mail accounts, set up aliases, set up auto responses, e-mail forwarding and much more.
Q: Does Forward Data provide List servers?
A: Yes, as an add-on option we offer list server capabilities, however we generally do not offer list server services because of the traffic and congestion they have a potential to create on shared mail servers.
